Online bingo fans will now be well aware of Tasty Bingo after the TV advertising commercial and of course the many articles on bingo portals such as Bingo Hideout regarding the new bingo site's launch. Now that all our readers have got used to the idea of the Tasty Bingo site being around we thought we would pass on news of all the promotions that the amazing new site has to offer. The promotions page itself at Tasty Bingo is a pretty amazing affair, with images reminiscent of a menu of an American style diner like Planet Hollywood. This of course is just a small taster of the many treats to come on delving into the Tasty Bingo site.

We want ours with no anchovies please!

The guys at Tasty Bingo have a whole selection box of bingo promotions and offers, and without doubt there will be something for everyone with every available budget to enjoy. There is our personal favourite here in the Bingo Hideout office ‘A Penny for a Pizza’ promotion, we are all desperate to win this one each Thursday in the hope that we will be on the receiving end of the £30 pizza meal deal. The bingo game tickets cost only a penny each (surprise surprise) so at a price tag so low it is easy to max out with the 96 possible tickets. The lucky winner receives a full meal for the family (or office colleagues) of pizza, dips, drinks, garlic bread and puddings all courtesy of the Tasty Bingo team.

Flash the cash for bigger pots

For those that are after a little bit more in the way of prizes than just some lovely grub there is a full menu of cash prizes for online Tasty bingo players delectation. There is the Friday Feast, the ingredients of which are aimed at the bingo player with a little more cash to flash. The £1 bingo tickets can be purchased to a maximum of 48 and will pay £20 for a one line win, £30 for a two line and £150 jackpot prize for a full house, this game takes place at 8.30pm and bingo tickets are available on a pre-purchase. For those players that are looking for a larger jackpot still they can take part in the £500 Tasty Treat, this 90 ball bingo will pay out £50 for a one line, £150 for a two line and £300 for a full house jackpot win, again tickets are £1 each and a maximum of 48 bingo cards can be purchased.
This is only a sampling of the bingo treats that are as tasty as the bingo site itself. Check out the promotions page for yourself at the Tasty Bingo site, you won’t be disappointed – the site will however give you the munchies!

Emmerdale the battle ground for online bingo sites?

It seems that the soap Emmerdale has become the battleground of the online bingo sites, of course with Emmerdale being sponsored by Tombola Bingo it was always going to become almost bingo centric. Last Week Emmerdale’s ad breaks were almost totally bingo orientated, and even though we are all big fans of bingo you start to wonder if they shouldn’t be spread out a little. Clearly bingo companies are trying to grab the attention of the ‘floating’ bingo players and as the audience demographic for Emmerdale and Coronation Street is a good fit for the target audience for bingo, it makes good commercial sense for the bingo sites to advertise around these programmes.

I will play bingo, I will play bingo, I will ……

For the team in the Bingo Hideout office though we started to wonder if it was really necessary. Our belief is that with young families all over the country settling down to watch the soaps at home at 7.00 pm, is this really the right time to have so many online bingo ads? It became almost a drip feed of bingo images, and some might even go as far to say brainwashing. Should the attention of the viewing public and in particular youngsters fresh from school, be the target of bingo sites? Surely the commercial breaks should not be so dominated by online bingo companies, one does start to wonder if young minds should be exposed to such continued and sustained exposure to the lure of gambling. What next for the bingo advertisers? Gambling ads in the breaks of CITV, to grab the attention of the yummy mummies watching TV with their young kids?

Obviously Bingo Hideout is all about online bingo and we wholeheartedly believe that adults should be free to enjoy their online bingo games should they wish to do so, but maybe youngsters should not be exposed so excessively. We often hear complaints about TV companies and their product placements targeting youngsters with images of fast food, fizzy drinks, etc., and if this is the case then surely young kids should not be exposed to an overdose of gambling adverts? We wonder if the ASA shouldn’t be looking at putting all TV ads post watershed or limiting to only one online bingo or gambling ad per hour.

Janet and John play online bingo?

Tasty Bingo was one of the bingo sites that featured in the ad break for Emmerdale last week, and for a new bingo site grabbing such a prime spot must have taken a substantial amount of cash. Clearly it makes sense to get as much exposure for any new bingo site when they are launched but if the ASA are not going to make the rules to restrict the amount of ads then maybe sites like Tasty Bingo should choose to advertise later in the soap schedule as a sign of their respect for family values. What do you think? Do you believe that the soaps are becoming an absolute stomping ground for bingo advertisers, do you believe that there are too many or are you not at all worried? We would love to hear our readers’ views on this topic.

Gina Bingo to launch soon

Brash, brassy and shocking pink, Gina Bingo will launch onto the online bingo market on 25th March. Get your sunglasses at the ready for the latest online bingo site to grace the internet because you sure will need them. Gina Bingo almost screams ‘play me’ with it’s assault to the visual senses and is a complete contrast to the recently launched and beautifully designed Tasty Bingo which entices bingo players in to play online bingo like Nigella might entice you to cook. Clearly the Gina Bingo site is from a totally different pedigree, and the reason why this site seems so ‘in your face’ is likely to be because it is part of a network, Bingo Entertainment Ltd which traditionally is more aimed at the US market.

Free bingo bonus on joining

Although Gina Bingo is not from a well known UK bingo gaming supplier they have been around since 1999, and so are well established in the industry. From investigation it would seem that new site is going to be multi currency and certainly from first impression it does look like the UK online bingo players will be accommodated with the option to play in sterling. From the home page there looks like the new account holders ‘must have’ , a no deposit free bingo bonus of £10 plus the added bonus of a cash match of 200% on a first deposit up to a very generous £500.

Gina Bingo obviously hasn’t launched yet so we can’t say what the new site will actually be like to play at, but judging just by appearances it is likely to be a little dated in comparison to some of the more recent additions from some of the better known UK online bingo software suppliers. Of course we all know that looks aren’t everything and so without actually playing at the new Gina Bingo site we might be being a little unfair in our criticisms. As usual we will keep an eye on what is happening with this particular new online bingo baby. While you are waiting to check out this site yourself why not try another of the online bingo sites by visiting our bingo sites directory.

Mecca Bingo playing ladies released from lift by firefighters

A group of Mecca Bingo players visiting their local bingo hall in Huddersfield apparently got stuck in a lift at the bingo venue. The small group of six people entered the lift at the Mecca Bingo hall last Wednesday evening, 10th March but couldn't open the doors to exit. The group of Mecca Bingo fans were trapped for nearly half an hour and eventually had to be released by a fire crew called to the scene who managed to release the bingo players after forcing the lift door.

Paramedics treated pensioner

All of the trapped people were distressed at the time of the incident according to the local paper, though all were released safely in the end. One of the party, an elderly lady of 78 had to be treated by paramedics for the effects of claustrophobia on being released from the Mecca Bingo hall lift. Luckily no serious harm was done with only a bit of shock and distress and after treatment at the Mecca Bingo site the pensioner along with the other bingo players were all allowed home.

Flowers and a sorry for trapped women

The staff at the Mecca Bingo hall in Folly Hall, Huddersfield were obviously relieved that none of the players suffered any lasting ill effects from their ordeal and in way of apology the Mecca Bingo hall Management team arranged for a bouquet of flowers to be sent to each of the ladies that had endured the upset of being trapped. Thankfully Huddersfield Mecca Bingo has now had the lift fixed by an engineer, and it is now fully operational again. So don’t worry ladies and gents if you are planning on a visit to the Huddersfield Mecca Bingo hall, as the chances of lightening striking twice is very slim so you won't miss your bingo games!

Bingo Confidential UK TV screening battle?

Bingo Hideout have heard from the producer of the Independent film Bingo Confidential, Susan Benfatto, that after battling to try to get one UK TV company interested in screening the new comedy bingo film, they now have two that are considering the possibility of a UK screening. Ok so there might be a slight exaggeration on our part saying there is a battle but there is definite interest at last from both C4 and Five television channels. Just like buses you wait and wait and then two come along together!

Rally the bingo troops

Bingo Hideout readers may remember that Susan and her team were keen to get the UK offline and online bingo community behind the cause to get C4 to agree to screen the movie. Bingo Hideout was also asked by Bingo Confidential to get behind the cause by rallying our troop of trusty readers and asking them to contact C4 with a request to show the film on UK TV. Clearly all the activity from bingo players is now working from the latest developments.

Readers may remember seeing our news on the Bingo Confidential film, we wanted to get behind the cause because there is a real shortage of films in this genre and yet we believe the subject matter is a popular one and certainly one that our readers would associate with. We love anything bingo and have written a few articles on the exciting comedy film Bingo Confidential, and most likely we will continue to do so.

Join the Bingo Confidential cause!

We know that Susan and her team would be over the moon for all bingo players in the UK to request that either of the two candidates would consider showing the bingo film – we know this for sure as there is even a little thank you especially for our Bingo Hideout readers which has been posted on the Bingo Confidential facebook page. So if you haven’t already done so get emailing C4 and Five, join the fan page and do all you can to get some more much needed exposure for this film – we are after all dying to see it!

Tombola Bingo wants ‘Season 2’ Emmerdale bumper stars

Have you seen the Tombola Bingo bumper ads that appear at the beginning, the end and also sandwiched between each episode of Emmerdale? If you have then you will have noticed the fantastic Tombola Bingo players that feature in the ads, if you were thinking that these guys are actors and actresses hired by the advertising agency then think again. Each one of the people who feature in the Tombola bumper ads are in fact real genuine bingo players, and every one of them has been hand picked by Tombola Bingo to represent the huge band of loyal online bingo fans that frequent the Tombola site each and every day.

Come on lads give it a go!

Tombola Bingo are now looking for their ‘Season 2’ Emmerdale stars and excitingly they have again asked for all their online bingo players to apply if they would like to star in the bumper ads. There are no particular skills required however if you have any particular talents all the better. Tombola are looking for fun individuals – men are particularly welcomed as last time they were seriously under-represented in the applications received for the season 1 ads. Readers may well remember our article of October last year when Tombola Bingo put out an appeal for more men over 25 to apply, so if you are a guy looking for your five minutes of fame then Tombola Bingo could be a very good option.

Three days filming!

Bingo Players have until next Friday (March 19th) to get their applications in to appear in the Emmerdale bumpers. The application form to appear in the Emmerdale ads can be completed online at Tombola Bingo, short listed candidates will have to attend an audition on either 27th March or 10th April so make sure these dates are free. The filming of the new Tombola bingo ads will be carried out over a period of three days starting on the 19th April. Those hoping to be selected will need to say in 100 words why they are perfect to appear in the Emmerdale bumpers, so include as much information about you as possible. Good luck to all you hopefuls, hope to see you on the telly real soon!

www.tombola.co.uk

Bet365 Bingo, ‘aving it large in the Bingo Linx

Bet365 are clearly big fans of all the yummy mummy’s out there, why do we say that? Because they have launched a Mother’s Day Bingo Linx game to rival all others in celebration of all the wonderful mum’s out there. The new Bet 365 Bingo Linx game will take place at 10.30pm on Mothers Day, which is excellent timing because it will give everyone time to go and appreciate their mums and then get back in time to play the special Bet 365 Bingo game. If you are that Mum then you can enjoy your day of spoiling safe in the knowledge when the family have all gone home you can still carry on the celebrations by enjoying some serious ‘me’ time playing a huge jackpot Bet354 Bingo Linx game.

Raise a glass to mum’s everywhere

This Bet 365 bingo game isn’t just open to Mum’s so any of you online bingo fans out there can take part. If you do win the big £14k bingo jackpot prize you could maybe use some of the cash to treat your lovely mum as a thank you for all the special things that she does for you. If you are one of those online bingo players that sadly don’t have your mum around any more then you could use some of the money to get a bottle of bubbly and raise a glass to her in recognition of her valuable role in your life.

Daily Bingo Linx games at Bet365

The Bingo Linx games at Bet365 are actually running every day and in the usual style of these types of games they link together various bingo games to maximise the jackpots. The daily bingo Linx games have smaller jackpots than the £14k available to win on Mother’s Day, but with a total prize fund of £7,500 they are not to be sniffed at! The Linx games at Bet365 take place in the Island Hopper, Safari and Jetsetter bingo rooms, and the bingo jackpots start at £1,000 at 12.00 noon, rising to £2,500 at 6.00pm and then the massive jackpot fund of £4,000 which is up for grabs at 10.30pm. So even if you previously made arrangements for Sunday and are not able to make it to take part in the £14k Bingo Linx game you now know that there is an opportunity every single day to ‘ave it large at Bet365 Bingo!

www.bet365.com

The news that Mecca Bingo has signed an agreement with the makers of Britain’s Got Talent show, is testament to how great the online bingo organisation is at self promotion. Freemantle Media have agreed to allow Mecca to use the name and marketing material to promote a new bingo room at the Mecca Bingo site, based on the popular talent show. Obviously the partnership with Mecca Bingo isn’t going to do Britain’s Got Talent any harm either, but for Mecca Bingo this is without doubt a major coup.

Britain’s going to have a great new Mecca Bingo room

The news story about the latest achievement by Mecca Bingo was covered early yesterday on the Marketing Magazine website, and was quickly picked up by online bingo and gaming sites. EGR said in their article about the 3 year deal between Mecca Bingo and the popular talent show that 18.3 million people had tuned in to see the finale of the last Britain’s got Talent show. This kind of exposure is clearly a marketing dream and for Mecca Bingo the undoubted kudos of being linked to such a popular television show is good fortune indeed.

Mecca has a talent for bringing a little extra to bingo!

Britain’s Got Talent has discovered some amazing stars since its inception in 2007, the operatic brilliance of Paul Potts, outstanding break dancing abilities of George Sampson who won the show in 2008 and in 2009 Britain’s Got Talent discovered the remarkable talents of Susan Boyle. Although Susan famously failed to win the first place her audition show performance was seen 200 million times on YouTube.

We have no information regarding what the new Britain’s Got Talent bingo room will look like although we do know that it will most likely feature the logo and music that the show is now famous for. Angus Nisbet of Mecca Bingo parent Rank is quoted on the EGR site as saying “This deal will give us exposure to a new audience, including the opportunity to promote meccabingo.com to Britain’s Got Talent fans. It will also enable us to enhance our offering to our existing customers.”

Gala Bingo hall Hounslow celebrates £253k High 5 jackpot

The Gala Bingo hall in Hounslow became the most thrilling place in West London if not the UK after a winner netted the High 5 jackpot meaning all the members of the game received a bit of the Gala Bingo winner 's £253k fortune. The reason for the hall erupting with excitement (as most bingo players will know) was because the ladies and gents in the Gala Bingo club all realised that with the winner being one of their own that they would share a piece of the good fortune too! The lucky High 5 jackpot winner scooped a total of £128,000 in the High 5 game, which is a pretty impressive jackpot by any standards.

Happy tears and a MaccyD’s

The unidentified Gala Bingo winner’s good fortune meant that each and every bingo player who was in the same bingo game each received a share of £125,000. The shock of the jackpot win caused the winner to shed a few tears, but we can only assume that these were the proverbial ‘happy tears’. Some of the players decided to celebrate by having a slap up meal at their local McDonalds, others planned holidays abroad with their new found fortune. All of the Gala Bingo players were agreed though that the lucky winner should receive lots of applause, hugs and congratulations as well as some thank you’s for the win that made so many people happy.

How do you bring joy to 31 people? Play High 5

The happy Gala Bingo winners, 30 women and one man all believe that the win is a life changing event and will bring a lot of happiness to all the players and their families. Lynda McNamara who is also a regular player at the Hounslow Gala Bingo hall, described to the local paper what happened in the moments after the winner called house “When we realised that we were all winners too you would have thought there were a thousand people in the room with all the noise.”

Bingo Hideout would like to say well done to all the members of the Gala Bingo club in Hounslow.
